Youth Fitness Program

The South Boston Leadership Initiative will once again be hosting a summer long Youth Fitness Program to be held at Farragut Park, and will meet every weekday morning outside of the Murphy Rink. The program is free and open to anyone between the ages of 12-18. Highlights include:

 

  • Eight weeks (July 5th – August 24th)
  • Monday through Thursday
  • Group 1: Ages 15-18 (7:30-8:30am)
  • Group 2: Ages 12-14 (8:30-10:00am)

 

This specialized program, led by South Boston resident Thomas Regan, will look to use fitness and nutrition as a means of instilling healthy lifestyles to the youth in South Boston. While focusing on everything from flexibility to nutrition to sport-specific weight training, each participant will improve not just physically but mentally as well. Farragut Park should provide the perfect setting to enjoy a successful summer.
